eastern Catholicism and Orthodox Christianity are two widely practiced religions. Judaism and Protestantism are well represented as well. Orthodox of Ukraine is largely in country, Ukrainian Greek is second largest group in country, it practices Byzantine rites and is united with Roman Church Catholic.

Social customs

Generally, people of Ukraine carry them in very civilized and polite manner. Normally men hold door for woman when she leave or enters a building, man stand up when women come in room, man give up seat when there shortage. While rural areas, man will kiss sometimes woman's hand, it is considered as part of fashion. When standing at threshold, hand shake do not offer to be take by person on other side. Young unmarried man or woman should seat at table's corner. One should by odd number of flowers as gift, when passing through aisles in theater it is possible to face people sitting down.

Dance

Ukraine has its own dancing style called Kalyna. Women and men participate in dancing, women wear a colorful costumes, featuring sometimes a solid colored usually red, green blue or black, matching and tunic apron, under open skirt, white shirt below that with embroidered them, it should reach at inch or below knee. Traditionally, women wear type of red boots to dance, they also wear beautiful flowered hand piece that is covered with different type of flowers and a long flowing ribbons down back and flow when dance. Men commonly wear a baggy paint, blue white, red or black usually, a shirt usually black of white, it is embroidered at neck and is down stomach.
